Golden Retrievers are mainly used as Show and hunting dogs! They are in alot of Magazine pictures and commercials because they have Beautiful Golden Fur that shines when it is brushed and a Sweet cute face that everyone adores! I will post more about them in a couple of days! They are often inbred, because they are so popular. So be careful when you choose one. Look at their pedigree.

Labrador Retrievers

Labradors are wonderful hunters and excellent companions!! They are sometimes hyper and many times inbred. It is sad but in order to get a lab that is not inbred make sure you get there pedigree (family tree). Both Labs and Goldens are run in Hunt Tests and Field Trials. Check out the AKC website below with the links.
